Tracker blocker/browser
It's actually fairly easy to protect yourself from most of the tracking, at the moment. In order of impact:
- upgrade your browser (they are starting to compete on privacy protections, so new features are coming in fast)
- install Ghostery extension on Firefox or Chrome (not AdBlock or AdBlock Plus, as they only stop visually intrusive ads, not tracking ads -- AdBlock Plus is paid by Google to let their ads through, with tracking)
- install Brave
