The idea of a "data collective" is to bring together individuals that have the same concern in a particular topic (dating) affected by how digital platforms collect their personal data and affect their lives.<br>

At Dating Privacy collective we seek to understand how dating apps collect our personal data (e.g., age, sexual preferences, messages, emotions) and can affect our lives while dating but also beyond, for example while moving in the public space to meet somebody face to face, our geolocation is used by companies for unclear purposes.<br>
Members of the data collective Dating Privacy are using the data access right to fight against the risks associated with the use of dating apps, to increase the algorithmic transparency of matching systems, and to highlight their discriminatory effects. <br>
