Statements
Immuni is a contact tracing app developed by Bending Spoons S.P.A. The app will be used voluntarily in line with recommendations by the Italian Data Protections authority. The Italian Government opted for a contact tracing app over a GPS tracking one.

The goal is to identify sick people before they show symptoms; Immuni was also selected because aligned with PEPP-PT privacy standards. Bending Spoons developed the app for free and with open source licence; the company licenses the copyrights and intellectual property rights of the source code to the Italian government.
