TUDelft SAR encoding

This is a page to describe the encoding work done on a SAR study conducted out of Amsterdam.

Study

The files are from two separate studies.

The first study was done in 2017. It is described in this paper: https://policyreview.info/articles/analysis/collectively-exercising-right-access-individual-effort-societal-effect

The second study was done in 2018 and is currently under review.

Encoding work

Decisions

- For Each SAR we created a Wikibase item, and when data was provided, we have placed the scrubbed data in Github

- All requests are encoded as instance of (P3)-exchange around right of access to personal data (Q1308).

- Additional properties assigned to describe a SAR are:

• significant event (P136): describes the process of the SAR using important moments, such as when the request was send and when a response is retrieved
• target (Q1053): used to specify the company to which a SAR was send
• data subject (Q367): used to specify the person that send the SAR
• final SAR status (P378): describes the final status of the SAR. The following items can be added to specify the final status: provide access (Q4866) (access is provided to personal data via returned files or data download tools), provide information (Q4867) (information about categories of data is given; target refers to the privacy policy or states that they do not have personal data on subject), no response to subject access request (Q4855) and cancelled by data subject (Q4884).
